Phone Data Recovery in Vancouver
CellFixx recovers data from phones that no longer work, at five Metro Vancouver stores. Whether it went in the water, will not turn on, or another shop called it dead, the diagnosis is free and the policy is No Recovery, No Fee: if the data does not come back, you do not pay.
What happened to your phone?
Every recovery starts with what went wrong. Find your situation below; each one has a working recovery path, and each one starts the same way at the counter.
Dropped in water
A wet phone is not a lost phone. The damage that kills the handset often leaves the memory chip intact, and that chip is where your photos, contacts and messages live. Power it off, skip the rice, and bring it in as soon as you can. Corrosion spreads by the day, so the sooner we open it, the better the odds. We assess it free and quote per case before any work starts.
Dead phone, won’t turn on
When a phone won’t power on, the fault is usually on the board, not in the memory. Our board-level technicians repair the fault far enough to reach your data, even when the phone itself is beyond saving. You get a free diagnosis first, then a clear answer: what we found, what’s recoverable, and the exact cost before you commit.
Deleted photos and videos
Deleted rarely means erased. Until the space is overwritten, photos and videos can often be brought back. Stop using the phone, keep it off Wi‑Fi so nothing syncs or overwrites, and bring it to any of our stores. We’ll tell you within the free diagnosis whether your files are still there.
Cracked screen, phone still works
If the screen is smashed but the phone still rings, your data is almost certainly fine. The job is getting you access again. Depending on the model that can mean a screen replacement or a direct transfer of your data to a new device. Either way, we start with the free look and quote from there.
Failed update or software crash
A phone stuck on the logo, boot-looping after an update, or frozen mid-restore usually has healthy hardware underneath. We work at the software level first and only open the phone if we have to. Most software recoveries keep everything in place: photos, chats, app data.
Locked or forgotten passcode
Locked out of your own phone? That's a different service and it has its own page. See cell phone unlocking, or come in and we'll point you to the right fix.
Every recovery starts the same way: free diagnosis, a per-case quote, and No Recovery, No Fee.
Book your free diagnosis
Tell us which device it is, pick the closest repair type, and put what happened in the message. We'll confirm what's recoverable and the exact price before any work starts.

Why Choose Us?
We are confident enough in our technicians to put the price on the outcome: if the data does not come back, you do not pay.
No Recovery, No Fee
If we can't recover your data, the diagnosis and the attempt cost you nothing. No matter the complexity of the job, you only pay when your data comes back.
Board-Level Repair In House
Dead phones often need chip-level work before the data can be reached. Our micro soldering bench does that work here, not at a mail-away lab.
Phones, Tablets and Drives
We recover from smartphones, tablets, SD and microSD cards, USB drives, laptop drives and SSDs. If it holds your files, bring it in.
Repairing Devices Since 2004
Twenty years of Metro Vancouver repairs, five stores, and your device never leaves our hands.
Free Diagnosis, Always
You get a straight answer about what's recoverable and the full price before any work begins.
Data recovery by device
Phones, tablets and watches each fail in their own way, and each has its own way back. We also recover from SD and microSD cards, USB drives, laptop drives and SSDs.
iPhone
iPhone data recovery runs through the phone’s own board, because modern iPhones encrypt everything. When an iPhone is dead, we repair the board far enough to power the encryption chip and pull your data intact. For working iPhones with other faults, see iPhone repair.
Samsung Galaxy
Galaxy phones store data on an eMMC or UFS chip that usually survives drops and water. Board repair or a chip-off read gets it back, and when the screen is dead but the phone is alive we can often mirror the display to recover it faster. More at Samsung repair.
Google Pixel
Pixels that die after an update are a pattern we know well, and the data is usually still in place underneath. Hardware faults get the same board-level path as other Android phones. See Google phone repair.
iPad
iPads hold years of family photos and are rarely backed up. The recovery approach mirrors the iPhone’s, with extra care on the larger boards. Screen and battery work lives at iPad repair.
Apple Watch
A watch usually syncs to the phone, but health data and unsynced workouts can be device-only. We check what’s local before you write it off. See Apple Watch repair.
iPod
Discontinued doesn’t mean unrecoverable. Classic hard-drive iPods and flash-based models each have a working recovery path, and we still service both. See iPod repair.
